Right — so, another crack at a Continental styled, red hued, ready-for-Christmas beer. Colour: check, Tasty: check (but up to you), On time: — hmmm, well a little late or very very early but you have got to get these thing right — eventually!

As usual, very limited run, less than 850 pints available for you to hopefully enjoy.

So, in the face of a potentially grim tail to the winter hold onto that festive spirit and enjoy this little late present.

It's made of

Liquor

Same place as before — lovely, chalk hills fed, aquifer. Think hundreds of years of natural filtration.

Malt

English malts (Pale Ale) malted by Crisp Maltings also Carared and Carapils malts from Germany. Added to dark Crystal malts so sort the colour.

Hops

Columbus from the USA and Pacific Gem from New Zealand, both with alpha acid composition % in the early/mid teens. All natural hop cones.

Yeast

Continental Lager yeast — till being a bit lazy and taking time to ferment. Think it may be protesting about the whole Brexit thing.

Other Stuff

Last batch we were a bit peeved-off with the lack of red hue — should be better now.

Well, you can see for yourself.

It smells

Likewise; just use your nose.

It tastes

Up to you. Our tastebuds and preferences are all different anyway. It's meant to be a full flavoured Vienna Lager ale with a well-balanced flavour and clean after bitterness.

If you don't like it don't waste good time/energy/ingredients — maybe just give it to someone who will appreciate it.

Finally

No need for compliments or criticism — we didn't record how we made it so we can't change anything anyway. Just remember to enjoy, socialise, and feel good — it's what the beer is there for! Ho Ho Ho.
