You are drinking... #1
One of 687 ish pints available from this particular batch (slightly depending on how much we drank ourselves). We will never mass produce and every brew is different—in part because we imploded ⅓ of our poor little brewery's fermenting capacity right at the start of our experiments.
It's made of
Drawn from our own bloody deep well under our feet tapping into a lovely, chalk hills fed, aquifer. By the way, Liquor is a fancy name for water.
English malts (Pale Ale and Crystals) malted by Crisp Maltings — these maltsters have been around 140+ years so we recon they know what they're doing.
Summit and Cascade from the USA and Dana from Slovenia. We like Dana for its harmonious bittering qualities — alpha acid composition % in the early/mid teens. All natural hop cones. We may have added some wild hops that we found on the side of the road too.
American pale ale yeast — slightly struggling to get excited by yeast — at least it flocculated.
Slightly struggled with the kegging — bit of a learning curve — some of the 845 pints brewed ended up on the walls.
Well, you can see for yourself.
Likewise; just use your nose.
Up to you. Our tastebuds and preferences are all different anyway. It's meant to be a full flavoured American Pale ale with a well balanced flavour and smooth bitterness.
If you don't like it don't waste good time/energy/ingredients—maybe just give it to someone who will appreciate it.
No need for compliments or criticism — we didn't record how we made it so we can't change anything anyway. Just remember to enjoy, socialise, and feel good — it's what the beer is there for!
